While watching the "social network" I thought whether 'Facebook' can be classed as a simulation. The driving force behind Facebook is vanity, the ability to know what a particular person is doing at a particular time is what makes user come back day after day.
It's without doubt that you can stay true to yourself or create a whole new persona and this is where the 'simulation' makes itself aware. You could, within reason, give yourself new morals, create a history and give yourself a 'makeover'.
